Experience
Stephane holds the position of CEO and is advisory partner at Grant Thornton Romania. Stephane is the founding and first managing partner of the firm and he has been practicing for almost two decades in the region.
Stephane started his career with a big4 firm in Paris (France) back into1992 and in 2001 he established from scratch a national practice of that firm in the Republic of Moldova by joining the SEE region as Country Director. In 2010 Stephane took a challenging decision to leave his position of Principal (salaried partner) and to establish the Grant Thornton offices in Romania and the Republic of Moldova from a legal, technical, operational, human resources and business development points of view.
Stephane has served as one of foreign trade counsellors for France in the Republic of Moldova, attached to the French Embassy from 2012 to 2015. In 2015 he held the position of Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Moldova holding as a result a governor title at the EBRD.
Expertise covers
During his professional experience, Stephane was involved in assignments on three continents in France, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Guinea, Cameroon, Romania and Moldova. The main activities of these projects were: audit and advisory projects from due diligences, internal audit of a Big4 national offices, implementation of ERP and control procedures, process improvement, restructuring and recovery projects to management consulting.
Stephane has expertise in various industries, including public sector, telecommunications, food and beverage, financial services, etc.
